Lets be honest folks, a few of the other forums contain some members that are less than pleasent with their replies to others concerns/ questions etc.

I do belong to 2 others and post on one occasionally. Otherwise I just surf them and its pathetic to read some of the coments posted.

OSE Forum, so far is a friendly, respectfull area for all to have some fun. Lets keep it that way.

as an european i also think that time zones come in play with this. when an american post a question most of the europeans are asleep and have already had a few ansers by the time we actually wakes up.

language skills can also be a problem. have seen in this forum before that people that dont speak english all that well are made fun of and probarly wil never come back to this forum becose of that.

personaly i had help on this forum from people from several different european countryes and americans alike so i guess im fortunate

Raydee please do not take this the wrong way , but I know of a few people who will not post on this site or RR because sometimes Americans seem to have a know all attitude, whether it is so or imagened. I must say not you though!! Have seen people from Europe and Australia post and although the questions are valid have no response till someone from Europe or Australia answers when we all know that 90% of participants are American. This is a observation and not designed to upset. Paddy I have tried to be diplomatic so do not stuff it up with your warped sense of Tasmania.

Hi,

I am from Europe and particularly from Greece. I like electric boats and converted my nitro boats to electric. I knew nothing about electric boats but after reading the posts in this great forum I learned a lot. I shared my ideas and experience wherever I could. I do not think that only Europeans do not share but also Americans don't. It is just a matter of particular time and luck and if the other person is in the mood or has the time to answer.
Finally, I noticed that lately so many posts are coming up every day therefore if somebody does have a reply in his post in the first or second day then he will not get any simply because there will be so many new posts.
Once again thank you Americans (it is an American site) for creating this great site and serious forum.

Its like everything else in life, I have been to RC car races where racers have their cars covered in the pits so nobody can copy their set ups. Some people don't take this as a "fun hobby" and aren't willing to share any info and others are basically afraid to speak because they are worried someone else will just shoot them down or flame them.

Hey, does KFC reveal their secrets?

It can be a very serious hobby over there and bragging rights are worth a lot.

Also, not every newbie should should have access to that knowledge.

Newbies need to have a learning curve in this hobby. Remember at the speeds a lot of people run, these boats are potential weapons and can damage and kill in the wrong hands.

Start with a SV, learn to drive, then move on to bigger/ faster things

Just a general post - why are Europeans so secretive with there set ups? or it's like pulling teeth to get questions answered - some of these guys are the bees knees when it comes to RC - you'd think they would help newbies others to get the most out of the hobby
