but FWIW, I measured my rudder depth...2.5 inches below the strut. It could probably be a bit longer still.

Not sure if it effects anything, but that right turn fin is larger than I have on my 45-inch T Mono. It's bigger than most I see at our gas races!!

some times it isn't the size of the turn fin. it is the ange at which it is placed
you see that small carbon fiber turn fin on Corey's big Johnson..(lmao) on the left side.
i had that on both sides of my boat. i sanded it to taper off very fast at the bottom end and stuck it at about a 87 deg angle of attack.
it ware fabulous. little resistance and less drag

yeah I know, but...it works so far. There are at least 2 other 33" boats in our club that I've seen with similar size turn fins. That's what I took my cue from, in fact one of those chaps made the fin for me and they finished 1-2 at the Sumner Nats (...can you guess who they are?). I could probably get away with shaving a bunch off, but the boat works pretty well for now, plus I know it scares Darin when I whip out my Big Johnson @ the Lake.

Finally

Well I finally think we got the Triton where it needs to be. I still need to do some minor adjustments but I had her out this mornin and it was fast and turned good. I just want to thank everyone for all the help and advice. I put on a longer rudder and changed the cg around and I am happy. I finally can enjoy this boat. I will try to post some video this weekend. Thanks again Will.

I had to run at least 2" under the pad on my 25" mod vp hull with a pad to keep It from hooking/blowing out. I believe the flat ride pad increases more lift or Is loose compaired to a true v. IMHO...

I also have a flash that Is stepped and I added a 1 3/4" wide ride pad with great turning Improvements. The pad depth Is no lower than the point of the v.

Sometimes you just have to have more In the water to hold you down not, just allways cog. IMHO... But, what do I know.
