opinions on a fast stable race cat hull

Ok im just new to the electric thing but have heaps of gas boats. I would like opinions on a real fast cat hull that can also corner at hi speed in race water. I had an aeromarine .45 sprint cat years ago & i must say i was impressed at how it handled. I am leaning towards another one but would like your opinion. I think i would run 4s in heat trim but also step up to 6s for a bit of saw action. I have been thinking of the 29" sprint cat again or even the AC boats lightning 28" cat but lets see what you guys think.

I have owned and raced both of the cats you mentioned and the Aeromarine was the better racer. Actually I ran the MeanMachine, same bottom as the SC but a more scale deck. The Aeromarine gets pretty flighty above 100 km/h but that is too fast for such a small boat in most race water. Speeds in the mid-80s were great and can be achieved on 4S.

The SprintCat 60/80 is prefect for 6S, I've been racing one for years. I use a Neu 1527/1Y but for sport use a Leopard 4092/1300 or 1350 would be perfect. That would give speeds in the high 50s/low 60s and be able to hold 6S2P easily. The 20/40 version is really too small for 6S2P and is limited once the wind or chop starts to pick up. The 60/80 version is on the upper size limit for 4S, although I've raced it on 4S with a different motort the smaller version would be more competitive for 4S racing.

A much easier to tape up hull is the Aeromarine Team Believer with the new hatch. It also has a lot more room for access to the installation than the SprintCat. The bottom is the same as the SprintCat 60/80 and it is what I'd recommend today. For the smaller version, the MeanMachine with the new hatch has the same advantages. Steve sells the latter here.
