What clear coat to use?

I clean the hull with alcohol before spraying with U-pol(saves getting fish eyes and such).But don't wipe with alcohol(rubbing) over the U-pol(at least while fresh).Just my findings/tips.

Good tips Shawn. Also dont tape for at least 4 or 5 days.

So I just went to Advanced Auto to look at their automotive clear. I was going to get it but then I remembered a friend of mine told me that I should be careful about laquer clear coat cause he had experience with it lifting the paint. Is this the kind of paint you are saying you've had good luck with? The one with laquer in it?

Enamel can be sprayed over lacquer, lacquer CANNOT be sprayed over enamel. So unless you know what the previous paint is, lacquer is always a bad choice.
