Well... if you were to epoxy it would have to be such a small amout that it doesn't put it out of balance. You could always buy a Castle 1515-2200kv rotor and put it in there.

If it could be trimmed down that would possibly do but, CF isn't too easy to trim off when it's that short to start.

The only epoxy i'd use would be very slow set type. Just put a light dab on, take off excess and wrap it first with a layer of parchment paper, then cardboard or something to get it to lay down. Use elastics to hold it all in place.

I don't know what the stuff is like so I can't say yes or no.... I would say no because it is not designed for higher heat applications. An epoxy like West Systems or MAS is very thin and would do a better job.

Ok update,
The guy just sent me a almost new 3674 1900kv,
I bench tested it and it was smooth, But had a nose like a card hitting a bicycle spoke.
So this is what I found going on inside,
Making the flapping nose, It's the carbon wrap on the core.
Now I need to fix this one to.
Take a look the motor looks pretty clean for almost new.

So what would make this happen to a new motor ?
Could it be the salt water or the salt moisture content in the air where he runs in Alaska ?

superglue it down then you can spray it or if you want superglue the hole thing thats coming from my old boss that has 40 years of fixing motors

Im with the above guy. Use some thin CA glue or even medium. Just enough to glue it down and be done with that one.

I just replaced the 3 bearings in the 2 T-600 1400KV outrunners I have in my 47" mono using boca bearings and the
feel of the bocas are like night and day compared to what the outrunners came with.

Get some boca bearings. good stuff IMO.

Carl what bearings did you buy from Boca? i have a pair of those T-600 1400kv that might need bearings in the future. thanks! stephen

I'm sorry, I was going to bite my tongue but, I can't.

I would never sell a motor like that 1900kv motor and call it almost new. I know Lenny, you said it is almost new but, did the guy selling it to you call it that? At best it is used very hard.

Carbon wrapped cores when heated too much will snap fibers since CF shrinks under heat. Kevlar wrapped cores expand with heat.

Since the carbon is that freyed, it was overheated/overloaded in order to get enough shrink to snap a CF wrap.

I would never ever sell a motor as "almost new" in this condition. IMO both motors are junk, fixable but, very limited life left.

You can use thin or Med CA but, a slow set epoxy or CA will hold better in the long run.

I used the BMK-005 part number. it comes with 3 bearings. 1 large and 2 small ones.
