Well crap..................i really hope i wasnt the one who steered you wrong, may have been though, feel bad if so. Can you at least use the pinions? Then you can look for some 4mm spurs?

I don't have any use for that large of pinion...LOL especially in a 32p, and I can't find any 4mm spur gears, but I think I have found a solution after a bit of brainstorming.... I have some 4mm castle bullets, and the OD seems to be right at 5mm, so I'm gonna cut them off and drill a hole for the set screw and use them as adapters... we shall see how it goes

I do have a question though, why did both my stock gears strip? I figure it could be a couple of things, tell me what you think.... either A. too much power, and they can't handle full throttle? B. the old style villain motor mounts without the blue metal motor plate allows for too much flex? C. I just didnt have mesh set correctly?

should it be able to handle a full throttle burst from a stop?

and one more question, what is the correct way to set mesh with 32p gears?

the castle gears worked! I took it to a small pond yesterday and ran it around..... but I can't do full throttle at all, the most i can do is like 1/2 and if I goose the thtottle it will throw the boat around....and If I barely turn with too much throttle it slings around too.... I did get it to go pretty fast and straight a couple of times though... had a blast, need a bigger lake! LOL

Glad to hear it bro,, for the turning problem try some turn fins one off of each side mounted high thow!!! look at some mono pics and youll see what im talking about helps to keep her from doing a 180 in a turn..I have lots of straight away problems with my vhull so i cant help you there but i do no the rudder has to be deep in the water,,, post some pics so we can see it..

so I need to trim it down? Ill see if I can get some video of t running soon, I've got to address a servo horn which I can't find.... where can find aftermarket horns for this style of steering?
