alright... stupid question, but if I'm looking at the backof the boat, which way should each prop rotate? and which prop goes in each side? I think they are backwards, but im not sure...

Looking from the back I run the left prop(port side) spinning counter-clockwise and opposite on the other side.NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE:

Set your steering rate where it wont turn so far, the u drives dont like being turned more than about 30 degrees...............its also not good for it. It'll quiet down some when in the water too.NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE:

I appreciate it Jerry... i know these things are kind of out dated, but I think they are cool! and I know the velineon setup isnt a prefered boat ESC, but this way I can see how much interest I actually have and upgrade down the road....Originally posted by HYDROJERRY View PostSweet,,,,, i just found this thread,, looks like its getting done, love the paint job good work, cant beleive your got that thing for 25 bucks!!! Sounds good but im just wondering ''because its cheaper'' why didnt you just make it a single drive,, i probly would have just mounted one of the outdrives and used one motor and esc, dont no if that could have been done or not but seems more simple, i no most sigle systems can run just as fast as a dual!!!

well, I'm totally new to boats.... I've only built crawlers, and SC trucks.... so I really don't know much about them and I was looking at simplicity.... basically a learning experience to see if I can make her float and maybe even scoot...Originally posted by HYDROJERRY View PostSounds good but im just wondering ''because its cheaper'' why didnt you just make it a single drive,, i probly would have just mounted one of the outdrives and used one motor and esc, dont no if that could have been done or not but seems more simple, i no most sigle systems can run just as fast as a dual!!!

Well crap..................i really hope i wasnt the one who steered you wrong, may have been though, feel bad if so. Can you at least use the pinions? Then you can look for some 4mm spurs?Originally posted by mudn_1 View Postso I ordered the castle gears, but the darn things are for a larger shaft 5mm? and my shafts are what? 4mm? so now 23.00 later I have some freaking gears that won't work...crapNEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS??
