To avoid confusion, I just mentioned "normal rotation". If I use a Flex cable that is design for that, prop should rotate anti-clockwise viewwd looking at the transom, under this scenario, water should not enter, with the same cable, if I reverse motor rotation, water will enter. A Cable that is meant to rotate clockwise ( looking at transom), and is turng clockwise, water still will not enter.
But I am trying to forget this as i have been convinced by Chief here that under full power and in the real world this "theory" doesn't holdup. So please help me to forget it

? ONLY IF THEY WORK 

I have a persistent problem with water coming in thru the stuffing tube at the collet end, tried every imaginable ways to seal it, to no avail.
so i don't remember/know original shaft length.
