    Thoughts on water pick-ups

I was thinking about something different.. I would like to not use any exposed cooling lines just to keep things clean looking. I am building a cat style right now and just need to complete cooling. I was wondering what your guys thoughts were on using 4 of these on the ride pads? http:/=oct-ocsw
With that in mind Im thinking no just cause of the fact im running twin's and they would disturb water flow to props. Is there anywhere else on a cat you could put these to be efficiant? I was thinking pointing them to middle of tunnel part. Also I am expecting to pull around 70-80 amps per motor which is why im looking for lots of water flow.

DO NOT BUY THOSE!!! they suck i put one on my scat cat and it noticibly decreased speed and batter life compared to the tube i had commin out the back. i'm going back to that style this season. the pickup your looking at is huge and creates a ton of drag

Well,, I dont know if you should say all that. I have used them before on a mono and yes, thy did cause much drag but they worked great. I think I will go with the scratch built ones. thanks guys.

You are intitled to your OPINION...But Before we BASH a product let's take a minute to consider a couple things. Maybe you didn't install it correctly or it wasent the correct part for your application. Advising some one a product sucks & not to buy it on this forum, that happens to be suported by the store in which said product is sold is not a very...well form your own Opinion.

Thanks, I always forget about them, sometimes there stuff is sooo overpriced. I think i will grab 2 large bore single pickups and 2 small bore "Y" connectors this weekend. If you look at the specs for the large bore "Y" they are like 4mm OD. a little large for our large cooling lines plus they are like never in stock. cool deal

Honestly Taylor, I originally posted I wanted to avoid exterior lines. Why even post that? If you have a solution that would be appreciated.
