A 36" hydro will need at least a 1521-sized motor for really good performance and reliability. Most of us run 1527-sized motors and 6S power.

There is a guy screen name cybertxt I think who laser cuts 1/8 and 1/10 scale hydro kits. 1/10 scale are in about the size you're looking for.
My 1/10 Miss Wahoo is aprox 34" and runs a Proboat Geico motor. No reason if you're fun running you can't run a 6s setup though, Mine is set up for racing although I don't know for which organizations rules! I just love the old shovel nose hydros and wanted one.If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

What about sport 40 class boats like the Phil Thomas and AC? About 37" long

Netik,
You can get the Aeromarine hulls locally from Hobby Supplies. The Sport 21 (33") would be good with a 1521 on 4S, but the Sport 40 will need a 1527 on 6S as Jay mentioned above.
Another option is a Whiplash if you're into building. The Sport 20 (30") great with a 1515, the Sport 40 (36") will need a 1527. Hobby Depot (NSW) carries these.
The Insane (30") is another great option for a 1515. Very forgiving hull to drive, and fast!
Cheers,
Scott

I think i like the insane 30 or i like the whiplash but im not a great builder are that very hard to put together???HOTR 32" Neu 1515 112 kph / Etti Demon rigger 3s leopard motor / 36" r2 hobbies twin tunnel with leopard 2200kv / Delta force 22 Hydro with dirty 2 pole motor / mini bolt with 380l motor good for about 60 kph

The hardest part about building a Whip20 (from other builders comments, I haven't built one) is keeping everything true during assembly. Brian Blazer has had problems with some of his hulls warping when being built by guys using weights to hold down the deck skins. I race Whips with my Insane and any performance difference is due to driver and cell quality, not hull design.

The Insane is definitely quicker and easier to put together (I've had both), and there's a hardware kit available just for the boat.
