A beast of a motor for under 400 shiny shells.

My plan is to run 2 of the 4035/1260 on 8s in a 41" sprint cat and see what happens.

If the #2 pencil is the most popular, why is it still #2?

believe me... I owned a SNIPER... fully rigged... never got it wet but I will tell you I asked and asked and asked all the TOP dogs... I was told by all of them... the 2215 750kv will get you 60mph...no more... thats what she will do... I have every reason to believe them as I was asking folks who race in the open mono class.... I had a 2215 750 kv in mine originally and never ran it... yes it will be fun running all over 60mph with the 2215... the 2028 is a larger motor no doubt... the 2215
s go for $459 and the 2028's go for $289... which one to go with? the 2028!... yeh its not quite the quality of the 2215 but it will be faster no question... and hey realistically how many times are you really gonna run it per summer...? maybe 15 times? at 4 batt packs per run...lol...

Shame on you Jason. I cant beleive you never ran that thing! Espicially with that 2230 in there!!! You definitley had too many boats...thats what happens when you appreciate the nice ones I guess.

I guess it's possible the 2215 can only go 60 in a 45" mono. I ran it in a 40" so I cant say for sure. I think I could have eclipsed 80 if I had better batteries back then though...I know a 45" is larger, but hard to beleive you'd be stuck at 60. I went mid 70's and it didnt even seem like it was working.

yeh it is very sad... the guy who bought it "riptide" bought my etti hv200 esc too.. hes gonna run a 2028!!!!

but yeh keith honestly ask rip... hes had both.... the df40 and df45 are totally different beasts... different hull design also... and the sniper is def wider too... if you had both in your hands you would quickly agree... the extra 5" of length, wider hull, make a big difference... and I am not positive but the SNIPER sure does seem alot stronger layup... so its heavier too!

but again keith you are right... shame on me this year I am focusing on the ones in my signature... the MHZ racemaster probably wont see much use tho... but the pt45ss and pt21, as well as my new BIG cat will surely get out on the water... I have a real boat this year so I will see the water alot more this year as well.... so I can sneak a couple boats along alot easier.. Catboi's (sandy allen) boats are finally gonna see some use instead of being shelf queens... if they get marks... they get marks... I bought to many boats with fancy paint jobs too so all I ever did was worry about scratching them...lol.

I imagine so, he said 23 lbs...I never weighed my 40" but I dont think it was near that. I dont even think my 50" will weigh that, and its huge! They must be really thick.
Don't the ettis go to 14s? If so that would be great for that motor...frees up a little bit of room.

are the 3 scoops hollow? also, are they sealed on the inside of the hatch? i would like to dremel the scoops just deep enough to give it that real look instead of painting them. guys the pic below is from google images. its obviously a gasser!

You guys really need to check out my thread im going over some of the same things now . I think im going to buy a etii spin 300 for the screamer the shultze at 14 s is too close I wouldnt rick it either If you talking about powering a 2230 or a 30 series lehner with a shultze you gotta get the 300 wk or etti spin 200 or 300 , yge 200N, mgm comppro 250 or 400 . The mgm's are rediculous 15 s! and those ratings are their continuous. The 400 would probably do a sick brushless motorcycle.Peaks at close to 600 amps cont
