OK, the PI came today, my cost on the 200a w/BEC is $44. There is a 4% payment fee and shipping on top, so am combining them with a stock order for motors, etc. So $46 is really rock bottom. BUT, if these work and they dissipate heat well with the new copper plates, Wow, how cool, it's a hell of a deal...

There's a few pre-order spots left if anyone's interested.

Shipment is expected Tomorrow so the Copper editions should go out Friday/Saturday!

OK, well I guess copper translates to "copper & zinc" or more commonly known... brass. I don't know why they do these things to me...

It says copper all over the invoice and in every one of our email... but... dis is not copper.

So, I made the best of it and soldered on some brass tubes. We'll see what they have to say about it next week. In the mean time, I'll send out the brass ones. I'm sure they'll work OK, just not as efficiently as copper.

Oh, and I filed down the FET's to ensure good solid contact.

PS- These have the more expensive NIKOS 30-50v MOSFETS. Which appear to be slightly slimmer and slightly wider than the HK & HiModel versions that use the Fairchild FDD8896's.

I'm looking for more information on the NIKOS, but have only found a few of them on Military level electronics like motherboards.
