Hi there just built a delta force 29 knock off with speedmaster hardware sv power and spektrum radio gear runs consistantly 35mph on 4s. Anyway what I was wondering is since the castle creations motors are so damn cheap would a 1518 work in this hull, with a turnigy 180 amp esc ?? I would run 4s lipo. The boat will be used as a sport and race boat not in a race class just messing about with all sorts of other fe boats.

Hi, I just bought a Castle Neu 1512/1800 KV for my DF29. I have been running a Nemesis 8 xl and m445 prop.The boat runs around 50 mph on this set up. The new motor only draws 80 amps on 4s so my Etti 150 should work well. I think the 1512 is more than adequate but if not, it will make my 25 Prince just howl. BG

I've run the 2650kv 1512 to 58 mph on 4s w/T180 x440 in a 32" cat. It's a strong motor, the 1515's and the 1518's are even stronger. I would say with confidence that it's no sweat for the 1518 motor to pull the 29" hull. I would say you could run the 1518 1800kv on 5s/6s even.

The 1518 on 5s will get you to 60 mph with the right prop in that hull.

What prop would be best prop then for the 1518 ??. Also im getting a pursuit mono aswell and im wondering what would be best a 1717 or a 1520 ?
