Yep...this is getting old. I think it is 3 times for them this year. Come somebody please help me understand to what benefit it is for people to do this. What do they hope to accomplish? Do they have nothing better to do with their lives? Is there some kind of reward for them by hacking into and shutting down a web site or spreading a virus?

Somebody is obviously REALLY ticked off Too bad, that place used to be the spot for info on FE.

I think its a combo of keyboard warriors who are bitter and start petty wars on there, and decisions to remove the wrong people for those actions, but I'm sure its hard to determine the "right" thing to do..

I guarantee it was someone who was banned, and in my opinion that should be a last resort..

What a really stupid statement, Hosting a site at your house has no bearing on how easy it is to hack.. Hosting a site and not knowing what you are doing makes it easy to hack.

One things most people overlook is a decent firewall and having someone who has an idea config it. From my experience they most admins concentrate on inbound security. The hacker hacks in but also needs ports out to be able to do his work most of the time. If you also block outbound traffic apart from the explicit ports you need to run the site, the hackers will have a much harder job.

Very old. Surely the fbi or some other internet police know of these guys. Lets get the addresses and visit them, my appointment book is clear.

This really pisses me off. RRR have been a stellar promoter of FE boating for years. The cost to rectify these hacks is huge. I would not be suprised that Don states enough is enough.

Is there a way we/someone else can help track and lock these people down?

Looks like the dock and international waters got it today as well. They are all running the request for user name and passwork on the front page.

Both of those sites seem to be working fine for me.

It looks like the admins have set them to member access only.

HA! You got me thinking. If I HAD to blame someone I would go after someone that HATES all the NAMBA rule changes, someone who doesn't like to spend more than 30.00 on a "battery", and yes, perhaps someone who was banned from forums here and there. Anyone wanna guess who I would point at? Oh, don't forget that they would have to be quite electronically savvy.
