OPC Tunnel Boat

I'm looking for an OPC tunnel boat. So far it seems to be either an 0.21 nitro hull or the Bandit II which has been problematic. Any suggestions?

The aeromarine predator .21 is a nice hull and runs great. That is what I'm racing in SPEC OPC Tunnel.

I agree with you sailr. I have two of the .21 Pedator tunnels and they are very solid performers. I have one that I run with a stock K&B .21 motor and the other has a modified .21 K&B with a Gardner exhaust throttle and a Garcia pipe...I also extended the motor mount on this one 1 1/2" back on the transom to give me an added 5 to 10 MPH increase in speed (a great tip from Remmy of Aeromarine Laminates) and it flies!

I have often thought about converting one of these tunnels to brushless...

I bought an extended mount from Technology Hobbies and pushed mine back 1.5" too!

I took the black peice off of the Dubro mount and had a freind of mine machine a new one out of aluminum...just a duplication but 1 1/2" longer. When the pipe turned on with this setup, the boat was very scary fast!!

International Waters has 2 threads with some very nice looking Tunnels... you should chk it out.

How does moving the motor and leg back an extra 1 1/2 " make it go faster ?

lessens the angle of attack, helps it stay in the water, you can make it loser and get away with it.
