It sure looks to me like yours rides with the nose higher. I have cut the bottom of the hull off where the tube used to come out (what is that called anyway). I just need to epoxy that and then put the new tube in.
Another question. I don't see anything in this driveline to take the thrust up to the motor/coupler joint. Is that OK?

yeah, it does seem to want to rud up on the nose quite a bit.....here are some cids of my SW26 (in some of them its faster as i installed a laerger motor and prop) you can compare how my hull rides using the stock outdrive to how your hull rides w/ the strait shaft

not to break the stuffing tube....i did when i was trying to take it out of my high wind hull and i ended up breaking it....so o used a brass pipe cutter to get what i could from it and when trying to get the shaft through it, it snagged and i bent it....so i ended up with a broken stuffing tube and bent shaft....so BE VERY CAREFUL!!!!!!!! you might also want to try to find some scrap ABS to repair the hole that will be left when you cutout the sutffing tube thing that the old shaft used to come out of....you could seal it up w. epoxy....you can put tape on the inner side of the hull and pour the epoxy on the other side and just sand it out on the bottom....youll also want to add a second layer of epoxy on the inside of the hull to add extra strength to the hull....
EDIT: youll probably have to leave the tape in there as the epoxy may stick to it...

I know the vid stinks. I have 2 more that are just about as bad. I am uploading one now. I am still on dialup for another week and a half.
My wife was the only one around who could go to the lake with me. She has never run the boat or the camera before tonight. She tried, which is cool, but she was so afraid of running the boat out of range or into the weeds that I couldn't get her to go straight very long at all. I am not much of a camera man either apparently. What I though was going to be the best vid, I must not have saved right.
All I can tell you about the shaft is that a 4mm prop threads onto it. It was like you see it when I got it.
So if I understand right, I should pull the stuffing tube out that is there now, and cut that little area where the tube comes out right off, and then drill a new hole so the stuffing tube comes out of the transom basically right at where the hull meets the transom. Does that sound like a good idea?

i cant really tell how it would ride up on the nose...your in a turn the whole vid......could you take a vid longer that 5 seconds?
seeing how the propshaft comes out, it is definately at too negative of an angle....i would remove the shaft and stuffing tube (the stuffing tube probably wont survive though) and cut a hole on the bottom of the transom and have the shaft exit there....are you using a 1/8" shaft? if so, how do you use a 4mm threaded prop and coupler....i can only find a 1.8: to 4mm coupler. but not a 1/8" to 1/8" one.....

actually i would try to make the propshaft comes out more parallel to the bottom of the hull....so it wont come out through where the origonal propshaft did, but out of the transom....that way you can keep the motor in the same position.....
