    how to power this charger

hi guys recently purchased this charger http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...r_Charger.html

and im just wondering what do i use to power it since it doesnt have a wall plug and like 12mm banana connectors i was wondering if there was a way to use it without purchasing some kind of 12v battery.

as i will be charging enough packs before i leave but another problem there is no balance point to charge all my 2s batteries.

So how do i go about that unless it balances while charging as i have no idea because no manual came with the charger and its the first decent charger i was able to purchase thanks

Easiest would be a converted computer power supply. Manual is at the bottom of the page you posted at the bottom just before the comments, click on file tab.

My PS makes no noise. It has quiet mode mod installed. Turns slow
And only kicks in when need it, also for $15 bucks more ( $65 ) and few more amps its a steel...
IMO few extra amps wont hurt... More amps more chargers... :-)

                          Shannon.
I use one of these. I used to run two of those Accucell8 chargers off it with each one charging two 4s 5000mah bricks in parrallel. So about a 14A load.
Now I run a Hyperion Duo charger with two packs on each channel in parallel. That's about 20A. The power supply doesn't even get warm.
You need to put your own 240V power lead & output leads on it though.
15V/23A Switching Adaptor (Input 115V/230V) from manufacturer , in category Power Supplies (AC/DC adaptors/Power Panel/Power distributor), Battery Chargers & Battery Accessories.

                          Cheers
                          Paul.

hi paul thanks so much for that link im sure i could get the input and output leads on it how did you hook up the chargers to it since it has the banana plugs and i dunno how im going to balance my 2s packs cos thats all i pretty much run as i run 4s2p in series in all my boats but one.

i dunno maybe im better off buying a charger/balancer that i can use at home and take my accucel to the field incase i need to top off my packs.

And run it off my car battery dont see how them banana plugs can hook up to a car battery and still cant balance my packs so i might just try and sell it and stick with a home charger that can balance my 2s packs.

Any links to a charger that can do this would be great and wont cost me over a hundred bucks.

Cheers for all the help and unless i brought something like this http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...40V_220W_.html and some sort of connection adapter so i can balance my 2s packs and when your chargng them do your packs have to be plugged into the balance ports aswell ?, sorry about all the newb questions but this is my first proper charger lol
