Yes, of course it will. You sure it will put out 120A? That sounds like a lot, like a big commercial power supply. At 1000 watts, you can charge a 6S pack (22.2V) at 45A! I doubt seriously your charger will put out 45A!Mini Cat Racing USA

well i don't know all the electrical jargan but it reads,on the input side 12vdc/120a max and on the out put side (the side with the plugins) 115vac 60 hz 1000w. the bottom reads
output power maximum 1000w/8.7 a continuous. so what ever that is in english .

Watts=AmpsxVolts
so it looks like 1000 watts/8.7 Amps=115volts
So the bottom sticker is the input ratings.
If you take 12volts x 120 Amps=1400 Watts
You cant get more out than you put in so there is a problem here. I think the 120 Amp on the 12 volt side is most likly a peak measurement.
I would imagine that you could get 70 amps out though.

No after I burnt up the one at the FE race in Granite Falls I switched to a Castle Ice 100 that I water cooled. I like the logging capability. Sorry

That "output power' of 8.7A is the giveaway. You could charge up to 8A ok, but no more. Pretty limited. I used to use 14A power supplies that would shut down if I tried charging at 10 Amps!

I just read your first post again. It's an Inverter! You mean you want to hook it to a battery and then plug in a 110V charger to it? Different ballgame.

I just noticed that too, it's an inverter :) Makes AC from DC. You need the opposite of that. A Switching PSU making DC from you wall socket.
For those who have the knowledge and the motivation there's a very good instruction on how to build a 13.8V 40A constant 60A surge switching PSU. The instruction is very easy to follow. I finished mine a month ago. It took me quite some time, but at least I can say I built it. And I can/know how to repair it if anything goes wrong and the inevitable happens.
I've killed a number of converted old PC PSU's. Killed most of em by accidentally pulling more current than what they were designed for. So I got tired of converting old PSU's and wanted to make something dedicated and more powerful. I also charge A123 packs at 10+ amps and high cell count packs really need the power.Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it.
