Well as you can see by the title I have been having fun with the Hatch well I think I have finally settled on the foam shapes but I will be lowering the profile of the cockpit area and possibly the decorative shape on the nose area, I would have had this work done but I was busy fighting with some rather large brook trout one was over 4lbs and longer than my fore arm MMMMM MMMMM Good did we have a fish fry. but now that I am back I will be moving forward once again.

lol about the hatch . i have now built 2 of these cats and a 3rd is underway,i also have hated making the hatch . this time im going to glass the hole deck the cut it out that way it will hold its shape and fingers crossed no probs.
whats going on with the foam up the front? i have got the same thing for my single brushless .
hopfully not to long till my twin will hit the water , i think i might have a job fingers crossed i get it.

I had the two linked and did not like it so I decided to separate them and I also tore off the cockpit area once (didn't like how it was turning out so I started fresh,

Zanda, we can work something out on the mods and I fought that trout for at least 15 minutes as it was in fast water, someone netted it for me about 20 yards down stream so I would not loose it.

What kind of work do you do? I hope you get the job as jobs are a bit thin here as well. email me pandceells@sbcglobal.net

You should make it look like mine, make it low profile. The rear part looks like you should chop it down a little bit. What do you have planned for the front of the hatch to make it transition to the bow?

"THE HATCH" Final stages Praise God! I Hate Hatches

Well like I said I cut down the cockpit and tuned up the nose and fudged in the sponson to hatch transition, it is finally starting to look nice on top.
While I was at it I decided to go get some blind nuts and finish fitting up the rudder base plate I made to hold the rudder boom and rudder (if I tried I could probably squeeze rudder in there one more time just for fun LOL) With out further delay Here is what I did.

Well I did paint the hatch a rather bright orange and I just have been busy with other things right now and plan to get back hard at it real soon sorry to you guys who have been watching this thread

So we got a chance to put some paint on down, son came home for leave and we spent some time together working on boats, and here is some pics of the progress and of course more to come in the following months as it nears completion in time for spring/summer.
