try the m445 it should take a bit of load of the motor and let it spin a bit fast. if anything your motor may last longer

Awesome thanks..
I'm having a bugger of a time getting good speed out of my SV powered Mean Machine Cat..
it seamed to pick up speed when I lowered the strut, so I'll keep going with it...NAMBA20...Caterpillar UL-1, P-Spec OM29, P-Mono DF33, P-Spec JAE, Aussie 33" Hydro-LSH, Sprintcat CC2028 on 8s, PT SS45 Q Hydro, PS295 UL-1 power, OSE Brothers Outlaw QMono 4-sale, Rio 51z CC2028 on 8s

This is odd, a club member runs one of the "salvaged" MeanMachines with a UL-1 setup and has GPS'd at 40+ mph - although I think that high 30s are more common for him. IIRC he runs an m445 with the strut bottom about 3/16" above the sponson bottoms and slightly up at the prop end, CG at around 8.5". Where is your prop depth now - use a flat table to measure. Cats usually pick up speed as you raise the strut, not lower it....I'm having a bugger of a time getting good speed out of my SV powered Mean Machine Cat...it seamed to pick up speed when I lowered the strut, so I'll keep going with it..
What cells, ESC and prop are you running? The SV motor has a lower Kv than the UL-1 but more torque, so a different prop may be called for.
