Went back for another test today, did a few other things to the boat, the first run was 57.5mph,
then came in and did some strut adjustments and ran 58.0 even.

Decided to run without the turn fin and it hit 58.8mph.

Very stable too, I was surprised to see 57.5 with the turn fin and m447.

So I believe i have maxed out on the m447.

I think with an x445 it should see mid to high 60's without the turnfin, and atleast 61mph with the turnfin and the x445.

Oh and I left my gps on as we rode home...it wasnt really a 16min long run, so dont ask haha

Well that is with 6/7 other boats going. Usually if there is no carnage there is at least a couple upside down. Anyways good job.

6s1p should hit 60mph easily . Try two of these 35c packs wired in series:

Nate, I think you will not see an increase with the X445, perhaps with the M445... and even so, I think that going to a smaller prop will not help with the targeted 65mph unless you tweak it hard. Just my opinion.

Hmm well I know for a fact that the M445 will not get the job done, It ran 56.1mph on the m445.

It ran 58.8 on the m447.

My SV27 ran great on the 445 and 13l.

I sold my old 445 to dude in a deal, but i need one any way so it wont hurt to try.

Maybe just jump to the 442 on 6s2p...???

This motor Iv heard is killer on a 6s setup..

Well... I think it will not fit 6s. It is possible to do 60+ in that hull on 4 cells (it has been done), you'll need the right prop that's all... you'd have to massage it until it gets right.

Think about this too, 4s maybe less power... but also less weight, the 5s lipos and that huge motor is alot more weight than a stock 4s setup with an extremly hot prop.

I may can get 2 11.1 lipos together in series as detox said..

First Ill try diffrent props ...

                        Thanks ub.

You're gonna need that weight to keep the sponsons planted! That hull will blow over.

I run two 2S 5000's. My friends run 2 2S 3750's. Mine stays planted, theirs blow over! Weight is your friend!! Trying to get the lightest setup is not always the smartest way to go. A friend of mine holds the current IMPBA SAWS world record for electric scale hydro at 77mph. His boat weighs 22 lbs! His closest rival can't catch him with a boat that only weighs 18lbs because before he ever reaches anywhere near the speed, the boat blows over.

It was a real quantum shift for my friend to accept that weight is good! He's a believer now!

Ran the boat again today with a peak charge, no Turn fin...

                              Passed at 60.5mph!!!!

                              Finally 60's haha.

I used my own no tuck turn fin and ran 59.0 even.

Very happy with this boat... hopefully my next project will be in the upper 70's with my next setup!
