It seems to work for my need, but I don't feel comfortable holding it almost pinned in the corners going in and out of turns, I feel like it wants to blow over, and the Grim fin is way to much drag IMO.

Like I said, Ill make another TF for my UL-1, Did you see the one that I made for Todd on Darin's old Ul-1.. Its pretty sweet..

Todd get some pics with it on the boat...

Heres the one I made for Todd. Less Tuck.

Thanks Nate. I definitely want one like the one in the pic on the UL-1 (including a bracket or not? Bracket is hard to come by). and a couple more. I have a Climate Matrix rigger that needs a fin but I don't know where to begin as far as design.

Length from transom to front of sponsons is 26-5/8". Overall length from trailing edge of the rudder to the front of the sponsons is 30-1/4:. I see riggers with the fin on an 'extension', putting the turn fin well behind the sponson. I'm new to riggers and don't know ANYTHING about the fin setups.

I wish somebody would write a tutorial about turn fins...the science of it, etc. How wide, how deep, what angle, on outside of sponson at angle or inside of sponson straight down, etc. etc. ... and the application to different types of hydros and riggers. I see in your pics you have the fin mounted in the 'middle' of the back of the sponson. That's a third approach I've not seen before.

                I understand spin fins...that's simple! ;-)
