        Ran the boat again today, I ran an m447 for around 8-9minutes. Temps were much higher..but so was the speed, The CC ESC was at 144d/F with the m445, it was 153d/F on the m447, but I did also run longer. Anyone think the m447 is a bad idea, seemed really really fast!!

            I feel any thing above 42MM will cause early death to the motor. I have ran several up to 50MM, they are all done for!

                You're running on the edge of the temps for the esc and motor. I'd prop down!

                  Nate, 166F is too much to ask from that motor (or any)... propping down a bit would give you fun speeds and longer life for the motor... just something to consider.
                  :::::::::::::::. It's NEVER fast enough! .:::::::::::::::

                      Ill got back down to the m445.

                      It got messed up after the Rudder bent into the prop...

                      What would be the best prop anyways...

                      I was gunna try an x640..

                              Temps today were much lower.

                              I started on an x442, it was pretty top-end fast.. but when I entered into corners it fell on its face.

                              So I swapped back to the m447 and ran it 4mins really hard...

                              came in and check the motor.. it was 144.8d/F at the end of the can.

                              The hydra 120 was 141.9d/F...

                              and the lipos held 99/101 d/f.

                              Ran great with small adjustments to the strut..
