Well i pulled half the cf off the hatch and found about a half cup of resin in the hatch. So i carefully grinded it (all)out . I also pulled out my 4 aa batteries for the bec and replaced them w/ lipo batts. I know its not much but i also ordered some 30 c zippy's to see if this will work as is. I wont tear this girl down. If this doesnt work ill find a larger motor option w/ less kv and run 5s 30 c.. I know it will be even heavier, but this hull really handles well heavy ( i think).. Im doing 60 mph sitting super solid and i know it has alot to do with the weight. I think i can hit 70 mph with a diferent motor /cell cnt /prop combo.. What do you think? Andrews running a 1521 on 10's.. We cant be that much heavier..? Can we??

I think the key is power to weight ratio for this hull to fly, I'm building another Maritimo this time a single 12 cell beast super light and strong , want to go real fast this time! Bonewar

Got the lipo's in today. Ill try them this weekend. These are shorter and wider wich means ill be able to move the cg back as well, (awesome). If these dont work, ill go with plan -b. New motors on 5s... What speeds are you hitting with yours? You also have to remember that both of our boats are just as beutiful on the inside as the outside as well as being stronger than most!!!! Yours you woulld see in a race and mine at the river..keep your boat as is ( clean ) and ( pretty). And build a speed demon ( simple ) and fast...

i have a drifter m which is the same as what you have with a 1515 1.5y on 6s2p i ran 110kph i also ran a 1521 1y for the some speed so the 1515 is better with good run time you can run a 1521 2y on 12s1p with a low amp draw should be fast

Not sure what your budget is? A good cheap realiable set up is 2x Feiago 10XL with 2x Castle 120amp LV speed controllers, 2 x Turnigy 30c 5000mah packs. Use X447 LH and RH props, spin inwards for straight line speed. Amp draw is between 85 and 95 and speed is 105km/hr.
The boat will run with low temps this way. Hope this helps you.

Sorry guys, I was half asleep.
                          I run 5s 1P ( one pack per motor).
The set up will run 6s but you have to use X442 LH and RH props.
The speed is the same, not sure about amp draw as I did not have my watts up meters then.
I have a 42 inch maritimo hull, Came from germany, not sure of the brand but Its not the H&M hull. I don't think weight is a problem in these boats as at the speeds they are doing they are faster than most gas powerd boats.

one motor one esc 6s2p 6500 total 13000mha you will have 100+kph long runtime
and run at top speed longer poly rc have the new hpy 35c 6500 for around 250 each invest in your cells not in an extra motor and esc

Yes one motor and one esc is definatley more economical, but the sound of electric twins going at full noise is something remarkable.
It depends what you are into really.

your right they must sound nuts dont get me wrong twins are great but would that be the same as a turbo 4 cylinder beating a v8 in a drag race half the liters and cylinders?
