What props are you running to get 58 mph? The 1515/1.5Ds are possibly struggling a bit with the load and hurting your cells. 1515/1Ys might be a better option.

30C cells will boost your performance, and probably run cooler as well. I noticed this when I went from 25C to 30C in my boats.

X442 egeng shaped..struggling indefinantly! I think im gonna try some 5000 mah 30c zippy's as a cheap fix and see if i can leave the set up as is..ill try and scrub some weight as well. The motors stay cool though...this boat is super solid at almost 60 mph. No porpissssing(sp) what so ever!!!! I wanna see it do 70 mph!!!

wont this also increase my amp draw on the esc's?

How's the esc temps? If they're ok, and you say you're motors are cool, why not just go for more prop? I would think you could get away with much more prop being that you are running twins. It might just be all the change you need!

I really have a hard time believing that the 1515's are struggling in this setup at all

Their not, the batts are and the esc's are as well. I puffed a poly 5000mah 25c last run . I was thinking if i could get a little larger motors in it with less rpm it woul;d pull less amps... And i could rin bigger props and faster speeds? i know that my problem is the weight, and kv's..but i (really) dont want to loose any weight as its bullet proof...

Maybe some 10 or 11xl's on 5s? you could prop the hell outta those! Inexpensive too!

the ready to run weight with batteries ( 4sx2 ) =12-14 lbs. i dont think 540xl's would handle weight =amp draw..?

The 30C cells? Possibly a fraction, but they might get your boat out of the water more, which would probably cancel out the slight increase in current draw.

And when I say the motors are struggling, I mean pulling more amps than they would if they were running at max efficiency. I have only seen 1515/1.5Ds running in sport hydros and single cats on 4S, and running smaller props than 442s. You boat would definitely be loading up the motors more than those boats. 1Ys would lower the load, and possibly still pull the same loaded RPM.

Wolf , Where are we at with that beautiful Maritimo of yours. I been talking to AndrewG about the weight for these cats , Both of our boats are to heavy , the goal weight for the hull to handle well is 3.5 kg , I'm 1.1kg over that , so I'm going to rip out the styrene in the front of the hull and replace it with air bags. I've been having a little trouble with the left side drive , lost a stub shaft and 1 of my x442(not happy) , I've got some friction problems there. I'll fix it buy making a new stuffing tube and better grease. Anyway need an update bro!! BONEWAR
