Air dam? Are you talking about the AOA adjustment in post #211? Yes, it works, but I don't think it's necessary. John Gross has that boat now. It runs very well.

Strut is adjusted too deep causing front sponsons to ride without angle (too wet). This can also happen to a lighter weight hull if strut is set too deep.

What prop you use to do that like a 47 or 50?

Well yeah but it's all over the place. In fairness though, that's probably Larry's fault.

Too much rake in the prop, especially on light hulls, can also cause these symptoms.

The hull that runs 70mph is one of the old 5.7 kits
This build and hull is a lot heaver then the new light weight kits.
It also has some of my own mods built in.

It is a full "P" setup

I have since changed the turn fin, to make the hull more steady and run true without pulling to the right.
Also had to replace my drive tube, due to a dent in it that I did not notice, - lost two shafts at the last race.

Larry, what are the pertinent restrictions for P Sport? I have a 2310kv TP motor and two batts like yours.

No restrictions for motor in P Sport. Spec is 36x60 mm

2310 is pretty hot. Which motor is that? 4070? It could work with a small prop. The 1515 runs warm too at 2200kv.

For me, I prefer a few less kv with more blade in the water but results vary depending on which boat you're running. Some boats don't like a big blade. The Pearls do pretty well on 45mm props. A 45mm on a TP2310 will likely come in hot on the oval. Zip zip playing around it will work fine though.

It’s a 4050 TPP motor. Heavy hull, about 10.5#, so I figured a bit more motor bog... Yes, M445 is the best prop. And you are right, it is very hot heading into the corners! I have to back off throttle at same time I slam the rudder right. Scrubs off some speed by the apex, then more slowly straighten out while feeding back to full throttle. It’s a handful... I’m waiting on a mixer to install in the boat to handle that rudder/throttle ballet dance. Hopefully I’ll be able to put more attention to the track.

I haven’t even tried turning full throttle, just feels like a suicide mission, lol!

Oh, Boat does not like big prop/lower kv setup.... It will start to porpoise if I hit any rough water. Little prop/high kv and the boat just hops up, flies level, then sets back down.

That’s a small motor! So folks need a very light hull in Spec with that small motor? I got a 3674 in my DF29 Mono...

Usually those boat are light. There are tons of options though for motors.
