Outboard pursuit

down the center works great for my pursuit. mines conventional, with the motor to the very back, batteries on a tray down the center.

What size motor are you running. That boat looks good with an outboard.That's a good esc I'm running one in my DF Pirate.

Running a 3659 1900kv on 6s

My batteries seem upfront but that is to counter balance the outboard hanging off the back

I am a little worried that the leads from the esc to the motor may be too long. I had to make them this long to rout the wires neatly and away from the steering/servo. what do you guys think??

Also these terminals come on the motor from factory, will they be good to use or should i use 5.5 connectors??

I hope so, depending the prop, not sure what will work well. I have a 4414/3 for it. Any suggestions greatly appreciated

I would try 4014/3 first, just to be on the safe side. But My boat does not run an outboard motor, so i might be wrong.

What motor and esc you running?

The connectors look a little lite if you have 5.5's I would change them. 6s is pretty hot. The prop you have should be ok.

How will I smoke the Hobbywing 180 ESC? Because of the connectors or the prop and motor combo?

6s is 22+ volts and many mha's if you run 40mm or less prop it may last awhile, is your motor rated for such voltage . I have a similar size f1 hull with a 3650 leo 2200kv and 5s is way too crazy.

Go to the electronic talk and pull up esc's there you can get a lot of info on our particular esc along with cooling mods. check it out.

You are getting me worried, I run this same motor with a 120a seaking esc with a 2 blade 42mm prop 1.4 pitch with no dramas at all.

Just run it and chck the temps being its such a small boat you may have no problems, just check your temps.I've run mine on 5s in my mean machine approx. 4 mins. and it was pretty warm.
your specs say its ok so run it thats all I was worried about 6s is almost 40,000 rpm, it ought to fly , have fun is the main thing.

Just an update, pretty much everything is mounted in position, i also did a float test to check for leaks etc. No leaks and floats nicely.
