This is EXACTLY what i want to build, please update with more photos, and any all hardware specs. Very kewl.

What type of glue do you use for the wood to the ABS hull? 5-min epoxy? or?

What type of glue do you use to bond the ABS hull top down with?

Do you thin thin 5-min epoxy with rubbing alcohol to seal the wood parts?

What rudder, strut set-up is that and prop? All available through the host OSE?

Wow! - where to start?

I used zap-a-gap ca to glue the wood to the hull.

The deck is not glued to the hull yet but I plan on using 30 min epoxy. I have to first lay down the african mahogany veneer on the deck and part of the cowl. I have to paint portions of the cowl before the veneer goes down.

I used a spar urethane to seal the wood.

The rudder, strut assembly is the Solinger hydro system available at OSE along with the a .150 Hughey cable, teflon liner and 1/4 stuffing tube. The prop (Octura V940/3) in the pic will probably not be used but looked good. I will have to do some testing before I can give an answer to this. I also added the through the hull switch, water cooling bulkhead and outlet fittings, and scale driver all from here as well.

The exhaust was made from ceramic pieces that I got at work (insulators from a thermacouple in a heat treat oven) and K&S brass tubing.

I have the driver almost finished. I will spray it with a satin clear to take some of the shine away.

I have the deck epoxied to the hull and the lip removed. I used some polyflex to take care of any irregularities at the seam. Ready for primer, paint, and mahogany veneer on the deck.

I finally have the mahogany veneer on the deck and the first coat of spar urethane.

I wonder which power system you plan to use ??? Steven has set me up with the AquaCraft UL-1 brushless combo... Should make it walk & talk !!!

Gearhead - I am glad you like it and if I can help in any way just let me know. For power I am putting in an ammo 36/50/2300 and jeti/hacker 70 amp esc. I should have pictures in a day or so.
