I think you will need to extend the strut out further back and the rudder.
Look how far back mine is on my larger 48" mono.

I think you're headed in the right direction, I agree with Jeff you may need to extend the strut and rudder back some. Also I'd clip the inside corners of the trim tabs to get some of the turbulance from the tabs off the prop.

I didn't get to ruin it today because it rained. I did work in the shop tho including painting my Sons Rivercat. It turned out nice. Guess since its my thread I can Jack it for a second lol.

We use ours for a table all the time. Lol
I'll snap a photo of it sometime even worse then yours.
Doesn't work to well while being a table.

Went run it. I want to highlight some things.

I initially started with the M447 this time. It started in the high 50's so I had to tune it back in. I got it to 68.xx which is 1mph slower than the big prop. The rudder I modded with the v cut picked it up over 3mph ....... Just from a rudder change. Then it was noticeably more stable. Then I threw 7s in it and it went 78.2mph. Woohoo! I initially started out hoping for 80 and figured it was going to take 8s to do it. I'm so close on 7s that with some tweaking I can get there. I may still try 8s because it's steady at 78mph now. No chine walk. The trim tabs are to the inside. I didn't move them because I'm happy with how it runs now. Stay tuned for the video

Here's the GPS. I'm having Wi-Fi issues at my house so my video is taking forever to upload. I have a new router on the way but I'm tempted to go to wal Mart tonight and get one. Ugh
