I still have yet to take her to full speed, but it will be documented when it happens. For now, she's sitting gorgeous in my man cave now that winter is approaching once again.

Motor was sent back to LMT to be investigated. Waiting on the results and replacement. I'll get more videos up once she's back in the water.

What happened in the video you posted with comment of "Fire!" ???? Did you figure out what caused that misfortune because obviously that is not a good sign sadly to say i really hope you can fix it ! That boat is killer and would love to see some fast videos to come

Expensive yea but the hull was made to withstand high speed crashes... Kevlar inlay there after all

Is the water always this choppy a lot of the time or is it just lately? Is this saltwater or fresh?
I'll get it up to higher speeds, don't you worry!!

Fresh water lake. And no, it's not always this choppy. Just one of those days. Even on most days, at dawn and dusk its always calm. I just took it out in the middle of the day when I had some spare time.

nata2run: Does that thicker teflon help with the smoothness of those drives?

I had the same problem with Spektrum radios in a couple different boats, put my Futaba in the same boats and never had a problem.

I found the dry throttle blimps of previous vid to be more exciting than that... Come on man, you have like $1k of "ferrari" motors in that thing along with a bulletproof hull! Punch it!
My buddy doesn't know much about r/c boats. Don't hold it against him.

This was a maiden run of a very expensive boat in choppy weather. Wasn't meant to show it off. Just a functional test. I'm not gonna push it yet and risk losing my investment. I have some things that I have to tweak. One of which is to figure out why I lost radio signal at the end of the video.

Couple photos from the maiden run.

    and the video:

As you can see, it was very choppy, but I didn't want to wait. Wanted to just get her in the water for a quick test. As you can see there was some radio range issues at the very end of the video which I'll have to troubleshoot.

This weekend is my son's 2nd birthday and we are throwing a carnival in the backyard, so it'll probably happen the following weekend.
