Ray, the Redwing whip that had wings and almost no transom was 1/32 ply. With the exception of its ride pads. Then I doubled up at the shaft penetration. At least I think I did. That was 2009 or so.

HAHA Ray, did you ever pick that one up? It's creepy light. At the close of our practice season I put a 1527/.5y in it. Fastest thing I have ever driven. One stuff and I'll be calling a diver though. Not a real setup but the grin factor was high.

I'll take a pic later but after sanding the poly foam down on that curvature it looks pretty good. I'll have to glass it but it doesn't look as horrible as I had anticipated. I'll show how I backed the foam too. Pretty simple.

Okay first pic is from the inside looking forward. I basically closed it off with ply. Then poured foam on the outside. Cured then shaped.

I'm the last one to tell you how to do something and it looks awsome. While you were there I think I might have incorperated a air brake in the nose like on the ML boats. You could always fill it in if it wasn't needed.

Building around a design flaw just doesn't set well with me. I'll keeping massaging the setup until it works without an air dam.

I don't like adding 13oz of weight to my Stealth either. I'll be fixing that bugger before I paint it too.

Cool, I was more or less asking, you deffinetly have way more experiance with rc boats than I do. That's basicly the answer I was looking for. Thanx

Your PTSS? for LSH? holly crap, 13 oz's! I added 3 to front of port sponson and it doesn't sponson walk anymore. Of course I'm carrying heavy 7.6AH on board too and an esc like an anchor... We'll see with soft water. I first have to find my leak. Taking my PTSS to the GF's place on the weekend since she has a tub to test in...

I only carry 4400 mah though so we're doing the same thing. You're extra 3200mah and chunk o' speedo might weigh another 10oz.

That seems to be an ML trademark. Not sure why he does that. If the boats are flighty, change the geometry a bit. That's just me I guess.

Yep, pretty much the same. I can get away with cheap packs that weigh a ton but, your lead is even less $$$, lol...

I'm switching to the Hacker packs I bought from Jason so, I might need to add weight or just work on it more like yourself. PM me all your hard work and secrets

haha I didn't say I had it figured completely out. We have a bunch of these in MI. They all have a hair trigger. You're right at the ragged edge and........................................ then you take flight. weeeeeeee It's why your heavy packs work.

After I figure it out I'll tell you exactly what to do. Want me to drive it for ya too?
