On the other hand, did you figure out why your 101 won't record max speed?
I had problem with another GPS, ( SkyRC, which is light and smaller, when it DOES record, it works great) but I bought an 101 ( used , from here) and haven't used it yet, so now I am a bit nervous. lol....

I messed with it and gave up. I couldn't get it to pick up the satellites last time and before that it took forever to pick them up. I got it to work once on the Titan 29 but for the life of me couldn't figure out how this time. I got it working on this boat for the maiden run but it didn't record max speed even though the max speed window was up. It has basically wasted my time for the last time lol

It's a older one that I bought from a member here a few years back . It's not right and I hate it for boats. ! lol

Same here, I bought an old one here from a member, I think it is 2003-04 vintage, I tested it in my car and it worked, but in a boat it's a different story, lol.....
Towerhobbies carries the same SkyRC but with Big5 name on it.
My boats are too slow, I get depressed when I GPS them. lol.......
