Agree, great prop to start with(m445) and check the temps. If everything is ok, you can try to step up to the m447, but watch the heat. I am using a worked over m447 by Mark Shouland(sp?) for my Insane FE in P-spec. Nice job on the boat!

Don't know how you guys turn a 45mm prop on a UL-1 motor. When I try I get 3 regulation laps before it detonates.

            Ray,

Same down here with later 2030 motors, particularly in the P-Ltd Cat class. We're mostly all propping down.

A 442, 4255 etc, is a safe place to start.

I have the same boat and I run a M445 with good temps. If you want to prop down go to a x442 or cut down 445. I would also go to JRS Innovations for his motor mount, servo relocation and receiver mount. I have a build post of mine if you search under my name. Let me know if you need anything else.

Very nicely built boat Darryl. I like the x445, but like some others have said, I am hearing little bits of the UL-1 motor not being as robust as it use to be. I wonder if the 1800kv version has more wattage ability?

that is rated the 2030kv an or 1800kv , an still be legal .?

Depends on your local club but, according to NAMBA for a sanctioned race you would need to stick to their rules. One of our local clubs doesn't care as long as it's no larger than 36mm x56mm and under 2100kv.
