That thing looks like a blast to drive, I didn't see the bottom of that boat but I assume it's flat by the way it drives. you might want to put a couple of strakes down each side or maybe leave it like it is. Like I said it looks like a blast to drive and once you get used to it you'll be able to wheel it just fine!! Awsome build. You got me thinkin' now..............

Looks good. I love it. Nice and quiet too. That thing goes real well. I thought it was cat like underneath and worried about blowovers but you're all good. Looks like it sort of pivots on the nose section, a rudder in the thrust cone may help with the turns.

The lady that lives next to that pond is really fond of the ducks so I don't run there at baby season anymore. My DF is way loud in there and gets attention. You should be good though.

          Some more video from yesterday.

I shifted the weight back some and it seemed to help. Aside from that one bush on the shore I seem to be getting the feel for it.

Ya might try just a little bigger rudder too.

This officially throws a monkeyCwrench in all the naysayers that gripe and complain this can't be done. They always refer to the so called"official" testing done by rc universe, because they couldn't get a hydro to plane and run effectively W/ a variety of edf motors.

                  Congrats, hope they like crow

Thanks a lot guys, I appreciate all the positive feedback on this. With being so new to rc boating I guess I was lucky to come across all the right pieces when I did.

I'm thinking I can pick up some speed by removing the water rudder and replacing it with air rudders. I am currently designing a way to do this. More to come!

If you're gonna go that way, I think I'd go with a pivoting thrust cone and go the thrust vectoring route. Plus it would be so simple to do.

Can you elaborate on this? I am still looking for ideas on how to do it simply.

Servo City has plenty of goodies to configure a thrust-vectoring configuration.

                            Food for thought : https://www.servocity.com/html/spg54..._rotation.html

I was thinking about getting a piece of thinwall PVC that was bigger than the outlet end of the EDF and about 3" long, make a pivot on the top and bottom with a arm attached to the existing steering link. it couldn't be much simpler.

DSCN0475.jpgLast year, I found this wood swamp buggy with a glow for power. To say it was hammered, would have been kind. About the same time I purchased an EDF A-10 off Craig's as a parts plane. Cut two plastic cups for vector-thrust and a couple of cooling plates off the gifting form here on OSE, and out came this. Twin 70mm jets that ripple the water 8'-9' in back of the boat.DSCN0469.jpgDSCN0473.jpgDSCN0537.jpg Driving is pretty close to driving the NQD jet boats, steering only under power.
