Have you decided on motor and kv yet? As I said in another motor thread the 2200 works but going like 1600-1800kv might be better if inexperienced. 1800 kv on 6s in that boat will run beautifully and very cool also run time will be decent. Ive used the 1600 kv setup for 3seasons and although shes slow sport boating is fun too.

With Keith's help I've decided on 2 2000kv black series motors that way I have some decent speed, room to grow but keep some reliability and costs down

If running TP motors you can buy and sell them losing 50 bucks max but getting it right the first time is probably the choice for the minority that are sane FE boaters.

1800kv on 6s with the right props is still somewhere in the mid-high 80's mph, still a fast setup. 2200kv on 5s could be an option also as motors/lipo packs are kinda same price. You could run on 5s then just upgrade the packs when ready for more speed. If going LMT Motors, I would aim to get the motor kv right as too expensive to change.

I have the 1450/2 and the x447/2 props to work with also. I do need to modify the x447 prop that is right turn when it comes to match the left that I worked over last year.

I personally think 50k RPM is too high for the OP's intentions. 50k is ok for SAW or absolute speed, but quite high for reliability, especially in regards to someone without experience within this type of setup.
Plenty of people have done 2200kv with Chinese motors on 6s so it can be done, but failure rate is much higher than slightly lower RPM setups (of course this is only logical...there is no free lunch). With the early TP motors we found about 40k to be where the likelihood of failure sharply rose. The latest generation is said to be better than the early motors.

I agree with Kent in regards to props. 1.9p props can be a bit tricky to set up. A stinger adjustment will definitely be needed to keep it stable on the water and a 1.4p prop will be much more forgiving...possibly even faster.
