I wish I'd been able to make that race, but I was in Scotland. One of our local guys runs a wood BL with a Castle 2028 on 8S, mid-70s and handles pretty well as he is still dialing it in. Your ESC temp seems pretty high for this time of year, is it getting good water cooling? Anyway, nice build Oscar, I'm sure you'll get the nose repaired and ready for next season. Will I see it run in Carrollton next Spring?

Well it did look good Oscar,
I think you get the bullseye prize for that one.
So did you have some fun at the races anyway ?
I still can not believe that I ran right into the starboard side of this boat that was just sitting in the middle of the lake,
I was doing 35mph and just trying to go behind and pass it.
But torpedoed it mid ship.
But I got very lucky there was no damage to ether boat.

Thanks Jay. 35c (95f) I wouldn't think is high??? In the summer running with the Speedfreek temps were around 55c 130f. Yes I'm going to practice over the next few months and have it ready for next year. Is Jim still running his BL? I haven't seen him on the forums recently.Originally posted by Fluid View PostI wish I'd been able to make that race, but I was in Scotland. Nice! Yes, it was very fun racing it. Overall for the weekend I did decent. I took 2nd in open offshore, 2nd in g27 cat and 4th in open cat with an electric R42. Jay still has me on the open cat, he took 3rd earlier in the year. The series we're racing in lets us race against the gas boats. Lots of people don't think the electrics can hold up against gas, we're trying to change that view!Originally posted by lenny View PostWell it did look good Oscar,

Jim hasn't run for a few months, he's pretty hooked up with family in the Fall and Winter. I saw it run in August, very solid and quick on 8S. His biggest issue was water entry, he's using the stock hatch, not modified like yours.....Yes I'm going to practice over the next few months and have it ready for next year. Is Jim still running his BL? I haven't seen him on the forums recently.

Boy Tyler that boat is got some finish on it lots of rubbing and polishing I would say very nice too pretty to run LOLOriginally posted by RaceMechaniX View PostThe mold for the carbon cowls is out there. Early on Brain Blazer made several for me and a friend. With Brians permission we ended up making a new cowl like the one pictured below. I believe Gizmo motors or someone in Florida has the mold and is producing them. Trying searching on Jims. The last picture is of the original Blazer cowl laid up in carbon by Blazer.
