Converting at gas boat to electric, need advise.

I would leave em. I even added front rails that go up to support the deck in both my Bling and my 35" DF.

What is the pro's and con's of removing the rails? IMO they strengthen the hull, that's why I left them in.

Loosing a pound or usless weight that boat will be plenty strong with no rail and that set up !! not no SAW boat plus it is a ugly mess !

All the external hardware is complete, just need to clean them up and start on the inside.
I got some parts today, cooling jacket and coupler. I'll start on the motor mount tomorrow. I'll post some pic's when it's done.

I started making the flooding tube for the stuffing tube. Here is the pre assembled pic's.

The flooding and stuffing tubes are ready to be installed, I'll be getting around a 1/2 an inch of travel in the stuffing tube for the strut adjustment. This is going to work out great concidering the the strut was mounted right up the the back of the boat. Here are some alignment pic's.

I'll post pic's when it's been set to show the benefits of the flood tube for the strut adjustability. This will be a great benefit to this build.

Update: I painted the flooding tube black. The motor mount is complete and installed along with the motor. I had to make some tool so I could drill holes in the rails to bolt up the motor mount. I'll post some pic's later.
