Looking good Chris...and should run great!

I'm always a little shy to run these in wye the way you do...in my experience the actual kv when ran in wye is not always what you would think it would be. On paper, this one should be a killer setup though.

EDIT: I guess I should say that I'm shy to ORDER them that way...running them in wye is not a problem.

Hey keith how are you ??? I still cant figure out why u had such a difference between the two 2240/5 's. When I ran them both of my hydra ices and eagle tree confirmed that the two motors were never over 113 rpm apart. On a normal they were within 60 rpm's of one another. If possible can you send me the logging file and I will do the same as it will be interesting to compare.

Mike I am not sure about the wait time for an hpr, but whatever it definitely worth the wait nomatter one week or three weeks. If you are serious about getting one I would talk to manuel about it. A pair of TP 4050 L 2350kv will get u to a 100 mph if set up correctly. You can also get by using the t180 as they perform very well with that setup. So 100 mph can be done with a relatively cheap setup.

I wasn't referring to comparing two of the same motors Chris. What I meant was this: Lehner motors are rated loaded. There is a bit of a correction factor assumed for RPM drop under a given load. So, a 1600kv Lehner might actually turn 1650kv unloaded (just making up numbers). I believe that the difference between a loaded and unloaded motor's kv will be greater with the higher kv models. For example, a motor that turns 500kv unloaded might turn 480 loaded. A motor that turns 3000kv unloaded might run 2400kv (again, I'm just pulling numbers out of the air here to demonstrate a point).

So... when comparing a D to Y wind, the factor of 1.73 can be used to determine kv. However, with a motor that is rated at a loaded RPM, the correction factor will be greater in D configuration than it will in Y configuration, meaning that the math may not be linear. Essentially what I am saying is that I don't have 100% faith when ordering a motor that the final kv in wye will be 1.73 of what is listed on the site. Your motors should be ~1710kv right? Have you found that they are consistent in this? I have only ran a few pair of Lehners in wye, but they have been a bit higher in kv than what I expected.

Keith what's up I was a little unsure what you meant but got it now. I found they are damn close to what it should be. I think my 3040 are within 50 rpm of what it should be. I will look into it further and let u know.

jason whats up how is your mono doing.

Pics do the boat no justice. Recently had chris help rebuild a mystic 138 with me his build quality is second to none. Anyone wanting a 100mph boat that survives even the worst of crashes this who you go to lol.
