Hi guys.
Quite a few guys in our club run these hulls , me included. We've found that if there is too much negative angle in the strut/stinger, they will dive easily.
Another factor is that most stingers are too long for these hulls & need to be shortened. I've taken 15mm off the two that I've built with stingers. With the other ones, I used a strut set up as they are shorter than a stinger to start with. Shortening the stinger makes a huge difference in the handling of these boats.

Hey Martin, my DF hasn't done much diving. Only a few times when I had the stinger angle too negative. As of now I have the stinger and tabs neutral and the CG is around 30%. I found that even the smallest CG adjustments make a big difference, not only in the straights but in turning aswell. Hope this helps.

Dana and Martin, what props are you guys running?

I agree with the comments above. Strut angle and trim tabs angle are crucial, and even small adjustments make a huge difference on this boat. Just a matter of finding the right spot. I also use a strut in a flood chamber on mine, with a very slight positive angle on my strut. Props are x440 x440/3(fav) x640 and x444(fastest)

Paul, good point. On both builds my stingers have been shortened. I wanna say I took off as much as 3/4 of an inch. If I had it to do a third time I would use a strut instead of a stinger.
