Humm everytime ive tryed to solder to tubing it just runs off and if i get alittle to hold it dosent hold for crap, well its only alittle dribble and im a welder at a automotive shop, haha.. i gess you do it with one of those little torches?

I have a 80 watt Weller Jerry.I make sure I scuff the area to be soldered only and heat up the largest portion of metal,get the solder to stick and continue. I held the riser against the stuffing tube with a C-clamp(this is the tedious setup part).This way I could move it side to side without disruption.Then when cooled right down gently handfiled the excess solder off to make it purdy.

Hey guys! just an update. I copied Mac's pics of the current Komodo from our other thread.

One of these dragons is yours Scott!

I like the one on the far right and am starting to think minimalist here with mine.Somebody better challenge me or I may take the lazy way out. Actually I'm thinking the little fire breathing dragon in chrome decal on the deck and KOMODO down the sides.On red?

That is where I am leaning tonight anyway,yellow and red works for Ferrari's. There are some good dragons there indeed.

I am told all decals are waterslide.You know me though,mostly airbrush.The Fightercat is the only decaled one yet.

Update guys,I took the plunge and did this:



So I am going with the Chicago Bolt mounting system again.I could have just glued them on the inside but I did break one post off on final assembly with the Geico.They did turn out nice and flush with the tunnel.





I got the wires as short as I could here(1/4 too short on one side IMO)
So with extensions and careful planning on this system I can run a pair of Swordy 200's that I have for the T-600's and I can even squeeze my Monster FC twin ESC in there. But for now the plan is to stack my UBEC and an ET data logger on there.



That is a temp piece of CF there.Or maybe a layer.

The Exceed UBEC instructions warn of Rx interference,any opinions on the CF protecting things from this(ESC's).
