HOR 41" Zonda twin cat build

Well I bit the bullet a bought myself a HOR RTR hull less the motors and less the escs, arrived safley in a 3 days
the price was good and a cheeper option hopfully be running a little quicker than a full build.
I indend to use two Fightercat 300A 2/6s risky I know but no other choise as Fightercat keeps ignoring my emails redarding the reliability problems some folks have had with these escs, so hopfully be running on 8000Mah 35c/70c
2x4000 packs hard wired in parallle. or maybe better on 3s2p and smaller props for a little less RMP

Motors are the Trackstar 6 pole 4069 2650kv custom macined to fit 40mm x 40mm Leopard water jackets
the Props that came with the hull are 42mm CR CNC

Apart from the mototor mounts being set a long way forward this makes it hard not to run the lipos on the tunnel floor without more work moving the mount back to run the packs in the spoonsons, as its not really being build to handle but just fast staight runs im hoping I can get awy with it at lest for the time being.

I got the escs timming set at 10 degrees not to sure if this is right ? also need help with the pw setting?(CANT REMBER WHAT ITS CALLED) without looking setting is either 8 or 16, I think most motors run on the 8 but im not sure if I reed that these motors need to be set at the 16 setting?

Any help or a Mentor would be a great help, do you think the setup is a bit hot for a 4s setup, any idea of speed? I am sue these motor were ratted at 2560kv when I bought the first one.
more to follow with a few pictures at the setup.

      Thanks Keith,
Do you think the setup will work, I followed your lead when you bought these motors last year, it worries me a bit because i think you sold them

I did the same. 3 days Wow That was fast. I hope I get mine soon. I went with the kevlar Zonda. Here is what I have waiting to run my boat.

Haha Sam you can't stop buying boats (just like me!) have you finished the cheetah and apparition yet?

Did you get stung for import tax? That's one of the things putti me off buying a hull from abroad, post some pics up so we can see, I love my twin apparition and a 41" version should be awesome!

I got the Kevlar lined hull a little disappointed I thought I was getting a full carbon hull with a Kevlar lnlay
Turns out the Zonda is a figberglass hull with a carbon/Kevlar inlay and painted primer grey
Still for what it cost it's a nice boat
Not sure about the square drive lines yet but they should be ok no more losing cables and props
That on it own is bonus I lost 2 cables and props last week, starts getting expensive

So the pictures showing the side walls with the kevlar is part of the inlay?
Could you show a picture of this inlay?

I ran a search on google 41" zonda pictures and came up with some videos that showed a zonda with prop change and running 6s clocked with a gun going 110 klm.

I would think that having the batteries in the center would be a better handling boat. This is my first catamaran and so this is some of the things I will learn. But it would seam to me that unsrung weight would aply to boat as well as cars.

All the lower part of the hull is lined including the side walls
It would have lined before it was joined so it's a proper job no need to panic you will like it
                        No realy an inlay sorry.

I'm building the same boat so can I ride along?

I just ordered the same boat last friday and will be facing some of the same challanges. Is it ok if I ride along on this build?

Do you think that there will be cooling issues with the rudder pickup? I was thinking of drilling hole and installing a pair of pickup tubes, next to the stinger mounts.
