    45" Aeromarine xXx

Well the hull is pretty much all together got the esc's and such.
    Twin graupner 820 outdrives.
I will take some picture for all to see.

Built the radio box, and mounted the servos today.
Everything is officially placed in the hull where i want it but not tied down yet.

Now the part i need some help with is With these outdrives SubSubmerged.
Which motors should i use to power this boat on 6s1p/2p lipos?

I was looking at the kb 45 10/9 XL, Or The Feigao 13/14 XL.

I did glance at the Neu's and i am thinking about it but they are so expensive, And im not sure if the will fit the mounts, and i dont know what size to get.
Also what rpm range am i looking for unloaded? what kv motor? The props sizes im looking to use are 40-48mm plastic from graupner to start.
Any one that has any info or any advice on this please help!
Current project 45" aeromarine xXx twins.
I came here to do two things Chew bubble gum and Kick ass, And im all out of bubblegum.

If you are going to run 6S1P on each motor, I would suggest the KB45 10XL's, and start with CF42mm props and go up for more speed... The CF42's should put you around 40mph.... You dont want a high KV motor spinning small props very fast for this size hull,,, Also the Fiegao's are not going to cut it with this size and wieght hull!! I personally run Neu motors,, but they are very expensive,,, I have ran the KB45XL motors and they are a good "bang for your buck" sport motor...

What lipo's do you have, and what esc's???

Nothing like keeping you lipos warm and your prop wet!!

Im taking pictures as i type lol.
I bought those chinese ones 100 amp 2-7 lipo.
And thankfully you agreed with me i was right with the 10 xl's
BUT! i have to modify the couplers and mounts for the motors. >=O
      Zippy poly 6s1p lipos 5000mah 25-35 c 2 of them.
Wow 40 ? not so far off of my goal im trying for 50 i reached 39.9 with a highly modified sv lol. I was gonna start with 45 mm l/r props cf but would usuggest the 42's?

It is always best to start low in prop size, particularly with an "unknown" setup like yours. I wonder why you have to modify the outdrives, they are designed for 5mm shafts and 800-size motors. You may be able to get motors that fit better, or not.

Actually, Feigao 540/550 motors will work in a hull this size as long as there are two of them and they are geared. Still, a larger format motor would be preferred unless the smaller motors were a lot easier to install.

Im going to go with the larger kb's but with the 800 size i think the mounting holes are the same as a 36/56 like the sv 27 motor because it fit right in.

The KB footprint works in place of 700 motors but I don't think it will work in 800 mounts. Hopf sells adaptor plates that will make them fit the bolt patern. Your problem will be 6mm to 5mm shaft adaptors. Maybe you can have them made.

Im Just gonna drill out the couplers myself LOL!
But those adaptors for the mounts might be a good idea.
I might be able to make it fit though i shall find out.
I hope this puppy can boogie!

hmm. just looking at the hull itself it looks different than the one I recently picked up. did they make different molds of these that you know of? I like your dual outdrives, they look quality!!
