    the length of the hull is 38" (965mm)
    iv still not decided yet on power but might go with a twin esc from fightercat and try a pr of his outrunners but gotta get it molded now so thats the main goal as its the 1st time moulding LOL

      A pair of the FCR outrunners like these [in the correct KV] would look really slick: http://fightercatracing.com/index.ph...mart&Itemid=56

      With no motor cowls, they'd be merrily spinning their hearts out in full view. One thing to consider however is outrunner shaft size (usually 6mm) mating to the available motor-to-shaft couplers. May have to do some machining

        These are the 1s i was looking at but the 1600kv (1580) with his twin esc
        id would have to machine the shaft collet for sure but also thinking about props x440/3 or 442/3 ??
        need to order another OB unit aswell LOL

          F1 she looks really great I did a few wood builds and I must say they are very very time consuming. Keep up the nice work and can't wait until the the maiden run.

            iv got a few builds on the go at mo and nearly finished my F1 gas for racing,just waiting on custom pipe,header and flange now to set it up properly
            and iv got another plan for this cat aswell once its moulded,just none stop at mo

                  Parting board now done after hrs of carefull marking & sanding to ensure a snug fit
                  next need to fix it to 18mm board with some uprights to keep it all in line and prep for paint

                    Framework now made to support the parting board and keep it straight for even join line round the hull


                    Parting board now placed on,just needs sanding and sealing ready for paint



                    Hatch flange is also done and is all sealed and ready for light rub down and paint

                        Cat fits nicely in the parting board,nice even line all the way round,get it prepped ,wetsand and polish hull and fill the small gaps round it etc
                        Hoping to mould the top early next week

                          wetsanded and polished the hull and 1st coat of release wax,sealed and sanded the parting board
                          Filled the gaps round the hull and the and 2nd coat of release wax

                            Iv added the locating pegs round the parting board and its now had 8 coats of releasing wax
                            Tomorrow will do PVA release 1st thing in the morning and hopefully start the mould process

                              More progress made today
                              Finished shaping and sanding the cowls,cut them in half,mounted them on a piece of board and added a layer of glass cloth over them and sealed them
                              will add a coating tomorrow

                              Coated the hatch once fully cured ill wetsand and polish up ready for moulding
