So a couple things, that motor looks huge. Im guessing yours could kill mine in a race.. infact i know it would...
Second, what is the little whitw piece on the steering linkage,i have that too with no idea of what it does.
Third, whats the advantage to that motor mount?

That motor is huge.It is a Castle 1515 IMO THE BEST in this boat.The white piece is a lock for the steering rod.Yours is all bent and fugly.You should try to take it out and put a proper bend in it and use the white lock thing.That is my custom mount and is better for the larger/longer motor.It has more support.

Yes thank you Mason.I hope that works on my local site.I want to do the new boat build on there for all the land lubbers.It is mostly crawler stuff there. Here is one of mine

Grab a felt.Take the servo horn off so you can get the rod free.Straighten the rod.You should be able to do that with two pair of pliers.
