Your going to have to balance everything out as you go. Do you have servo for the steering already?
Also I dont know if I would run that esc with a smaller battery like that.Even for testing. You may find the "ESC caught in the middle scenerio" and have a potential burn up from not enough juice to the esc. What C rating is that battery anyway?
I would wait till you get the stand built and the steering and drive system hooked up that will determine how much room you have around that to place everything. You may even want to move things further forward since it might be a lot of weight in the back for such a small hull.CF Fightercat Daytona, 21 year old Hitec Sea Nymph, Genesis and many more to come im sure.

Do not hit this set up with 5s power!! Thats a no-no!Originally posted by masonis1 View PostYa that battery i kinda small. I plan on getting a bigger one. Thats from my rccrawler. It has a lot of power out of it. I will maybe use this for testing... I could maybe use my friends venom 3s battery or i can use my 5s whenever i get it for my 1/8 truggy

Hey Mark not to get off topic but have you had a chance to run your boat yet?
I took the fightercat out for it's maiden run yesterday. Ran well but couldn't open it up since there was no where near enough room. On top of that at the end of the run the boat flipped and had to be retrieved all in all it was a good run. Only a small amount of porpousing on accel but smoothed out after about 1/2 throttle. It turns sooooo much tighter then the other boats I have run though it is taking a bit to get used to it!CF Fightercat Daytona, 21 year old Hitec Sea Nymph, Genesis and many more to come im sure.

Mason................your COG needs to be addressed before you start permanently installing items. Looks like the motor is already in, so the servo, ESC, and Battery will need to be used to give you a COG in the 28-30% range. The COG is the center of gravity. You set the hull on a dowel or broomstick and where it balances is your COG, with hardware you need to shoot for 28-30% or roughly 6.5" from the transom.NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? Zac,i haven't ran my twin yet,but the Genesis with the 4082/2200kv im running this weekend on its maiden. I know that beast you have is a screamer!! Big water is a must to really stretch her legs.Been playing with my mono, had a horrible crash this last run! My boat flipped and landed right side up but i had a battery pack jar and it pulled the water tube off the esc.The esc went crazy!!! full throttle straight into the bank after getting soaked!! I couldn't do crap but watch!! The pursuit hull is one tough cookie!lol

lol Now that is a tough hull. My other smaller mono crashed similar to that the last run I had with her and I was able to drive it in airboat style since it was working pushing air upside down lol. I have since retired that one to a life of tuggin the fightercat home when it dies in the water. I gotta get a GPS on this thing soon.
Mason I would wait until everything is there and then do exactly as Make-A-Wake says about measuring the cog. It will make all the difference in wether or not the boat runs well or is a total handful. I learned that the hard way a time ago!CF Fightercat Daytona, 21 year old Hitec Sea Nymph, Genesis and many more to come im sure.

The battery is a 1000 mah turnigy nano-tech 45-90c 3s lipo. It goes from my crawler to brushless rc10 and mini revo. Havent got a servo yet for my big truggy but when i do i will do small tests on it with this.
I totally agree with the weight up front. We will just have to wait and seeWhen speed isnt the option, change your ways

It is fairly balanced now. I will try and get it like you are saying.. damn went to go cut grass and everyone started commentingOriginally posted by Make-a-Wake View PostMason................your COG needs to be addressed before you start permanently installing items.
