Ah right I get ya. My motor should have bare wires when it arrives so I would probably be better off just sticking 6mm male connectors on them, right?Originally posted by Make-a-Wake View PostThe motor has 8mm connectors and I had to go from 6mm to 8 somehow...............Everything that has a beginning, has an End

Getting the hardware on the boat now. Stinger holes have been drilled but the screws they sent me don't go through the transom.....too short
I was going to use the original hole which the steering rod comes through but the baseplate of the rudder would be touching the top of the stinger... Any ideas other than drilling another hole a bit more right??
Heres a picDSC_2298.jpg
Also if any of you say with an osprey hull could give me measurement of where the trim tabs are from the corners that would be great.Everything that has a beginning, has an End

Cheers Martin. Here's some pics with the trim tabs mounted. Will mount the rudder near the same place that HK do on the osprey.

If you could post a pic of the transom that would be helpful

Thanks for this. There isn't going to be much room left on my transomOriginally posted by martin View PostI dont have any pictures of mine but if you go to horracing.com then to the 41" deep v theirs clear picture of the transome.
The osprey looks to be larger at the back.
The stinger has a large base plate and the trim tabs and rudder are the same. Getting the screws to mount the stinger tomorrow, then I will get the rest of the hardware on as well.
Motor should be here in a couple of days. Still have to decide on batts but from my previous tests I'm pretty sold on the Winmax series.

Drax, the placement of the trim tabs is "spot on" in my opinion...........not to far in or out............... I have made the mistake of putting them too far either way and had to remount them.NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE:

The Left One is actually mounted a little higher maybe 2mm at most, because I had to drill higher on that side, but the actual tabs were adjustable so it runs flat with the bottom so I'm happy
