The angle for the flex is good. That should no problem. In a cat with single engine the angle would be much bigger.

If your eninge mount would have been smaller, the engine would have been lower, but from your pictures I really see no option
to get the engine lower. Unless its not a problem for you to lower the slot on the front even more.
If im correct then the bolt that is going into the motormount holds only the lower part of the motormount?
The upper part is hold to the bottom part by the 2 bolts op top of each side?

If so then you could lower down the slot in the front and back even more, position engine to lowest point, take it out, and fix the bolts on the side.
Then glue the carbon mount in place and if you would need to take out the engine you would remove the top bolts?

The lower the engine sits, the lower the weight is.

I can lower the back down but that would increase the angle into the collet/ couping. The front is at it's lowest in the carbon stands and the motor clearance from the floor of the hull is 12mm.
I did adjust the the back of the mounting slots so I could find the correct angle. That leaves the collet at about 1.5 inches from the base of the hull.

Working on the positioning and angle of the motor. I have removed about 4mm from the bottom of the mounts and put the motor at the best possible angle available but it still looks a bit harsh to me. I can increase the angle by making the screw in slots longer on the sides of the mount stands. Or possibly removed more from the bases??? Which is best considering the angle?

Done the windshield on my boat but took off some paint Maybe I can just cover it up. It isn't very strong acrylic and will need the few layers of clear.

I just realized this is the same setup as my 39" Vader I just finished..................I swapped the 1717 6s2p for a 1000kv 5692 on 8s2p as well...........and I have already thrown an x457 on it!! Gonna run it in the morning for its maiden with this setup.

Hey Scorp I saw the vid of your Vader with the 5692 in. Wow that was some power, looked like it jumped 4 ft when you hit the throttle. Shame the flex had to snap. Hope mine goes something like that when it's done. Can you take a pic of how you positioned everything in the Hull please?

I have some black gloss vinyl coming for the windshield. Will be using expanding foam for flotation in the front of the hull. Then I'm gonna crack on with getting the motor and drive line sorted.
Thankfully the esc worked perfectly in a bench test with the Leopard motor which I must say has phenomenal power! Hope to have it running by 3 weeks time...

What battery set up will you be using ie mah, number of lipos, in series or parallel etc. Thanks.

What ever configuration you go with will work out around the same weight to get 10,000 mah capacity. As an example some one on the forum built an Osprey with a Leopard 5692 - 1390kv on 6s & ran x450 & got 50mph, i think he used 4 x 3s 3600mah in series & parallel.
