i was able to seam seal some of the gaps and things that cosmetically looked a little rough with this stuff. super durable and flexible and paintable. then i sanded everything with 180 and 80 grit to get it ready for primer. IMG_2105.jpgIMG_2118.jpgIMG_2108.jpgIMG_2107.jpgIMG_2106.jpg

Dana, sure glad you are the one that got this boat. You are bringing it back to life. Since you are going to this much work and I see the code you go by consider one more thing. Without adding much weight angle the two flat pieces in the bow and stern. Angle the front of each one so water will not catch. Also make sure the inside of each sponson is VERY sharp. You probably had all this in mind in the future but just in case. Please post pics when you are finished AND how it rides and handles. I hope you were able to keep it light. Good luck

Hey Gary, thanks I'm glad to have it. I love bringing a quality piece back to life. As for the two pieces in the bow, I think you're talking about the flat pieces on the botttom? I put seam sealer around those for a smooth transition.i also ordered a new cowl. Yes the sponson edges are very sharp, and will stay that way. The boat is very light still, as most of the resin I put on I sanded off. I figure paint and primer will add some decent weight, but not worried. I know it's gonna be fast regardless. I will def keep posting and I think you're gonna like the paint job I do -).... You said this is drilled for the os leg right?
Thanks
