One thought that keeps popping into my mind is that , although Traxxas likely had good intentions with the Spartan, had they come up with a 33"-34" version of the Villian possibly with single drive they'd have a really desireable item. While some may think the Villian is an older look, it "does it" for me.2008 NAMBA P-Mono & P-Offshore Nat'l 2-Lap Record Holder; '15 P-Cat, P-Ltd Cat 2-Lap

I agree with you there,I'm trying to find a hull for that kind of look for my 1717 and all I can come up with is the PB Shockwave.Originally posted by properchopper View PostOne thought that keeps popping into my mind is that , although Traxxas likely had good intentions with the Spartan, had they come up with a 33"-34" version of the Villian possibly with single drive they'd have a really desireable item. A bit much for a 1717, but the BBY Patriot (with the Ovalmaster bottom) is a cool looking GREAT handling boatOriginally posted by srislash View PostI agree with you there,I'm trying to find a hull for that kind of look for my 1717 and all I can come up with is the PB Shockwave.

That looks nice,
What size is it ?
I have PB shockwave running on 4s2p 30c 3000mah with a 9xl 1898kv t120a esc with more caps, Pushing a x445 and gps at 42mph,
Was thinking of trying 5s and making it run a little wetter so it will not try to fly.lol

By the way................for those that like the thrill of "engineering" their own boat, the Villain is great fun. Its obviously not about blistering speed, and fine tuning everything to the hilt for racing, its about making a cool boat of of a stylish hull, and the actual "building" of it. Kinda like building models as a kid. I really enjoy creating my own boat...................thats alot of the thrill of this hobby for me. Plus, you got yourself a sleeper!!
Here's an example of what one just went for on ebay where i pick 'em up..........50 bucks.

Love it!
I have always had a thing for the "scale" looking boats like the villan. It should do well with that motor I think...I ran a 1300kv Tacon 3674 4 pole motor in a 32" cat and it ran well. Notably more power and cooler running than a Feigao motor. I think the Turnigy motor should be comparable, if not the same.

Thanks Keith!
Made a servo 'tower' to raise it above the stuffing tube so the servo could be centered allowing room for batt adjustment.NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE:
