Do you have a Smiths cat or just looking at them Alpha? I had one and it didn't handle well (by far the worst handling cat I've had). I understand there are two different versions of that cat though, one has three steps and the other has two. Mine had three...maybe the other one is better, I don't know.Originally posted by Alfa Spirit View PostNice looking cat

Hey Gimp, quick question...how do you get the cooling line on the thru-hull fitting in the transom?? I was getting ready to drill out the holes for the steering and the water inlet (and side exit port) but the more i look at it and feel around it seems like a nightmare. But, i love the cleaner look with out the line coming thru the top deck and i have a thru-hull fitting for the transom, just wondered what the trick is, or if actually pretty easy?

I used a pair of medical locking pliar looking things with a little soap on the end. Took a little while but I got it. Annoying to do but I too like the clean look.Originally posted by Checkmateguy01 View PostHey Gimp, quick question...how do you get the cooling line on the thru-hull fitting in the transom?? I ended up wet sanding, polish, glaze/seal, and wax this weekend. Boat looks incredible to me. I'll get some pictures when she's in the water.

Went to the pond today. No action shots because I was alone. I only went through 3 sets of packs, only 35* today!

Thanks Jerry!
My local lake has a dock, next time I'm there I will be sure to get lower pictures. I would have gotten pretty muddy at the pond lol

I drilled out for the port last night and screwed it in, try as i might i couldn't get a tube over the nipple. I know what kinda tool you are talking about, i don't have one myself, i tried some regular pliers but didn't get far, and my hands are to fat to fit in there too LOL. So, instead i'm gonna use a thru-hull trim ring and just stuff the tube thru, be a little easier.

Checkmate, did you read my post on how to do this the easy way? TRUST ME it makes this a 30 second job, after i tried for 40 mins with a pair of pliers.Originally posted by Checkmateguy01 View PostI drilled out for the port last night and screwed it in, try as i might i couldn't get a tube over the nipple.
